About us

 

Baxter's Buddies is a new OSCAR Programme for the Halswell Area of Christchurch.

We have vans that pick up the children daily from Halswell, Oaklands and Hoon Hay Schools.

Our carers are all mothers with many years of combined experience, working in the teaching, education and home care areas of child care.

Our behaviour management style is of encouraging children to make good choices a daily habit.  We do this by rewarding the children consistently for any behaviour that has a positive effect on themselves and others. Through our interactions with the children and one another, we are constantly modelling good behaviour choices.  We also encourage the children to nominate their buddies, when they see behaviour that is positive.  We discuss with your children, the consequences of any negative behaviours, so that they are fully aware of these.

We do not provide winz subsidies at present.
